Cosy!

Neil lived in a high rise apartment in Gurgaon. He had been staying there right from the time he finished his post graduation and started working. He did his schooling in The New Model Boarding school in Dehradun and post that studied in Delhi till Post Graduation. He was not married yet but had a steady relationship for the past 3 years.

Recently Dr. Vivek had shifted to the flat adjacent to Neil's and both of them connected instantly - they were of almost the same age, had similar liking and both of them were single. Dr. Vivek was a general practitioner and had a clinic in the nearby vicinity. They would hang around at their residences, listen to music and drink up till late night on weekends.

About half a year passed by and Neil started noticing that his health was getting affected. He used to fall ill very often. He spoke to Vivek about this who gave him some medicines from his own samples. Neil would feel better after the dose but post that his health would worsen than before.

This kept on for some weeks. On one of the Saturdays Neil felt very sick and immediately called Vivek to come over. Vivek came over to Neil's place and made him sleep on the bed and told him that he will administer an injection to help him feel better. While the injection was being administered, Neil complained that it was very painful.

Vivek mentioned to Neil - "Chill do not worry! This sure is a little painful but will help you sleep well. I can make this little more bearable. Let me tell you things about you that you haven't told me. I have this art that I haven't told you before about. I can read people's past."

Neil replied - "You are kidding me. You are just mentioning this to me to reduce my pain."

Vivek - "No really. Let's see. You went to The New Model Boarding School in Dehradun."

Neil - "I must have mentioned this to you in one of our drinking sessions. I am sure."

Vivek - "Oh yes. You did. Let me tell you more. You were a boxing star in school. This you had not mentioned."

Neil - "Oh Yes. How do you know?"

Vivek - "You used to bully junior kids who came new to the boarding school."

Neil - "How do you know this?"

Vivek - "You remember your nastiest trick on the kids used to be - ask them to strip - and ask them to take a cosy nap (it was impossible in Dehradun cold) on the school bench in the middle of ground and the rest of the gang used to take turns  to keep watch on the kids."

Neil - Wait. How do you know this? (By now there was a slight slur in the way Neil was talking.)

Vivek - It was really nasty. One of those students got very disturbed and ill after this incident. He had to visit doctors and psychiatrists to get peaceful sleep for years after that incident

Neil - But... But...

Vivek - That child went on to become a doctor and decided to teach you a lesson on what is cosy sleep. Neil. I am that child. The injection will slowly put you to a nice cosy sleep. You will never wake up! Have a great sleep. Good Bye!
